Crafting a Vertical Garden with PVC Pipes

Step 1 – Choosing the Right PVC Pipe

Step 4 – Drilling Holes

Step 6 – Filling with Soil
When filling the PVC pipe with soil, think vertical. Tilt the pipe at an angle to make filling easier. Be certain to press the soil firmly into each drilled hole and down into the pipe to allow for root stability and water penetration.
Step 7 – Planting
Once the soil is filled, transplant your plants into the drilled holes, making sure the root balls are well-inserted into the soil. Tap around the plants lightly to ensure the soil is firm and offers good support to the plant.
Step 8 – Mounting Your Garden
When mounting your new vertical garden, secure zip ties through the holes drilled at the top end of the pipe. Attach these ties to your frame, ensuring it’s level in each direction for a neat look and even water distribution. Tighten and clip any excess plastic from these ties.
Step 9 – Watering the Plants
Water the plants through the top opening of the PVC pipe, allowing water to trickle down and reach every plant. Ensuring adequate watering is an essential part of cultivating a healthy and thriving garden.
